In 2008, Producer J.J. Abrams stamped down his movie-making authority by releasing a movie no one actually knew was coming – that movie was named Cloverfield. It took the world by storm using clever viral videos as part of its marketing arsenal to keep audiences in suspense and wonder until they actually got to see the movie on the big screen.

Roll forward 8 years and Abrams has done it again. 18 months ago a movie named The Cellar was being shot – or so we thought right up until the end of 2015 when a trailer was a released for what we now know as ’10 Cloverfield Lane’. 10CL is not a sequel by any means but Abrams’ has described as being part of the same ‘bloodline’ as Cloverfield. Once you’ve seen it a lot more will make sense.

10 Cloverfield LaneThis week we’ll be bringing you interviews with John Goodman, John Gallagher Jr., Director Dan Trachtenberg and today Mary Elizabeth Winstead for the movie.

With Mary we talk about the stigma attached to making a ‘Cloverfield’ movie, working with first-time feature film director Trachtenberg and being stuck in the bunker with the two Johns.

10 Cloverfield Lane hits cinemas this Friday 18th March. Keep your eyes peeled for the otherĀ  interviews as the week progresses and dont forget to enter our competition to win merchandise here.
