Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski returns with his second film in two years, breaking nearly twenty years away from directing, with a political survival drama starring Vincent Gallo, Emmanuelle Seigner and David L. Price.
Essential Killing had its premiere at the Venice Film Festival last year where it won the Special Jury Prize and where Vincent Gallo won the Best Actor award for his wordless portrayal of a Muslim prison who is captured in Afghanistan and transported to a European prison only to escape his American captors into the frozen forest, and forced to survive in the hostile environment.
