Sundance favourite The Miseducation of Cameron Post finally comes to UK cinemas this week, and to celebrate that fact, we sat down with the film’s director Desiree Akhavan, alongside the eponymous lead star, Chloë Grace Moretz.

We began by asking Akhavan why she opted to write and direct a movie she wasn’t to star in, and whether she consciously wanted to make a film solely from behind the lens. We also discuss the impact Trump had on the shoot, for he became President mid-way through the project.

Moretz goes on to tell us how she went about emotionally connecting to the role of Cameron Post, and finally we ask the duo what their favourite karaoke song is – following on from our favourite scene in the movie.
