In a recent interview with MTV, Emma Stone confirmed that she will not appear in Columbia Pictures’ feature film adaptation of the TV series 21 Jump Street.

Stone said:

“I don’t think I’m going to be part of that, but Jonah is one of my favorite people in the entire world.”

Stone was in contention for the lead female role in the re-imagining around the same time her involvement in Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot was initially announced.

21 Jump Street will be co-directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Jonah Hill, who is also executive producing, will star opposite Channing Tatum.

Meanwhile, the as-yet-untitled Spider-Man reboot will commence shooting next month for a July 3, 2012 release.
