Prime Video has unveiled the official teaser trailer and exclusive first-look images for ‘Elle,’ the upcoming ‘Legally Blonde’ prequel series that takes audiences back to the pink-tinted origins of Elle Woods. Ahead of Amazon’s 11 May Upfront presentation in New York, the streamer offered fans their first glimpse at the beloved character’s teenage years, long before Harvard Law and courtroom triumphs became part of her story.

Set in 1995, ‘Elle’ follows a younger Elle Woods as she navigates the chaotic ecosystem of high school. Far from the polished confidence audiences remember from ‘Legally Blonde,’ this version of Elle is still discovering who she is while facing messy friendships, forbidden romance, social pressures, and fashion decisions that may or may not age gracefully.

Throughout the season, Elle leans heavily on her family, particularly her mother Eva, forming a deeper bond that shapes the woman fans eventually come to know and love.

Lexi Minetree stars as the young Elle Woods, with June Diane Raphael portraying her mother Eva and Tom Everett Scott playing her father Wyatt. The cast also includes Jacob Moskovitz, Gabrielle Policano, Chandler Kinney, Zac Looker, and Amy Pietz.

Recurring cast members include Jessica Belkin, Danielle Chand, Matt Oberg, Chloe Wepper, Logan Shroyer, Sharon Taylor, David Burtka, Brad Harder, Kayla Maisonet, Lisa Yamada, and James Van Der Beek.

Created by Laura Kittrell (High School, Insecure), the series is co-showrun and executive produced alongside Caroline Dries. Reese Witherspoon, who famously originated the role of Elle Woods, also serves as an executive producer with Lauren Neustadter, Amanda Brown, and Marc Platt. Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) directed the first two episodes and executive produces the series.
