Paramount Pictures has released a new trailer for ‘Ebenezer,’ offering a new loo at Johnny Depp’s twisted take on one of literature’s most famous Christmas characters.
This November, Depp steps into the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in a new adaptation of the classic Christmas tale, promising to tell the familiar story like never before.
Directed by Ti West, ‘Ebenezer’ puts a fresh spin on Charles Dickens’ beloved story, with Depp leading an impressive ensemble cast. The film stars Rupert Grint, Andrea Riseborough, Sam Claflin, Daisy Ridley, Arthur Conti, Ellie Bamber, Henry Lloyd-Hughes and Charlie Murphy, alongside Tramell Tillman and Ian McKellen.
The newly released trailer teases a darker, more unconventional interpretation of Scrooge and the world around him, while retaining the supernatural Christmas elements that have made Dickens’ story a seasonal favourite for generations.
Depp’s Scrooge finds himself at the centre of a story filled with ghosts, redemption and the consequences of a life consumed by greed, as the iconic miser is forced to confront the past, present and future.
