Following the massive success of Deadpool earlier this year, moviegoers are eagerly anticipating the already confirmed sequel which has yet to be given a release date by 20th Century Fox. The first instalment’s after-credits scene confirmed that Cable will show up, but it has since been widely reported that Domino is also going to end up making an appearance.

Collider has now confirmed that by revealing a list of actresses who have been testing for the role for director Tim Miller and Deadpool’s producers. Those currently being considered include Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane), Sienna Miller (American Sniper), Sofia Boutella (Star Trek Beyond), Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), and Sylvia Hoeks (Overspel). That’s an impressive line up, but just the tip of the iceberg!

The site has updated their story to confirm that Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire), Ruby Rose (Orange Is the New Black), Eve Hewson (The Knick), and Kelly Rohrbach (Baywatch) are all also in the running to play Domino, and honestly, it’s hard to be unhappy with any of these choices as they would all no doubt bring something different and exciting to the role.

In the comics, Domino is a skilled mutant mercenary, who possesses the ability to manipulate probability in her favour, giving the effect of incredible luck. After joining the X-Men, she later became a member of Cable’s new X-Force team. The character has crossed paths with Deadpool on a number of occasions, so her appearing here makes perfect sense.

It remains to be seen who ends up landing the role, but if the hunt for Domino is taking place, chances are that Cable has already been cast for the Deadpool sequel. Stay tuned…
