Universal Pictures has released the official trailer for ‘STOP! THAT! TRAIN!,’ an over-the-top comedy adventure packed with drag superstar talent, high-speed mayhem and plenty of camp spectacle.
Directed by Adam Shankman, the film follows best friends Tess and DeeDee, played by Ginger Minj and Jujubee, who work as train stewardesses on the less-than-glamorous Stank Rail. Dreaming of something bigger, the pair trade their mundane shifts for new roles aboard the luxurious Glamazonian Express.
Their exciting new opportunity quickly goes off the rails when a catastrophic weather event known as the “Stormaganza” threatens to derail the high-speed train and send it crashing into Celebration, Florida. Faced with disaster, Tess and DeeDee must put aside their differences and team up with the Glamazonian Express’ snobbish first-class attendants to save the day.
The trailer showcases plenty of outrageous humour, colourful visuals and larger-than-life performances as the unlikely heroes join forces with attendants played by Symone, Brooke Lynn Hytes and Marcia Marcia Marcia. Leading the rescue effort is President Gagwell, portrayed by RuPaul, who brings plenty of authority and comedy to the escalating crisis.
Alongside Ginger Minj, Jujubee, Symone, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia and RuPaul, the film also features Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, RuPaul Charles and director Adam Shankman.
