Last week, we had the pleasure of speaking to acclaimed writer/director David Twohy about the upcoming 20th-anniversary re-release of Pitch Black by Arrow Video and its new 4k restoration and he gave us an update on the much-anticipated fourth film in the series.

Currently known as Riddick 4: Furya, talk recently had been that star/producer Vin Diesel had been delivered a script by Twohy and the director confirmed to us that, after a few drafts, they were pretty much ready to go:

“I just finished the script three or four days ago… for now we are calling it Riddick 4: Furya, we’ll see if that sticks. Vin loves it and the expectation is we pop it in 2021 with me directing.”

He went on to talk about Universal’s potential involvement as they have an option on the franchise and how they might make the film given the new restrictions on film productions in the wake of COVID-19 lockdown and health and safety concerns.
