While we wait for the official word on Ben Affleck’s Batman movie (which he’s expected to direct and also co-write alongside Geoff Johns), the cast of The LEGO Batman Movie continues to grow. With Will Arnett set to reprise his role as The Caped Crusader from The LEGO Movie, Michael Cera has been cast as Robin, and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker.

Now, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Daredevil star Rosario Dawson has signed on to voice Barbara Gordon, the daughter of police commissioner Jim Gordon, who goes on to become Batgirl. After being shot by The Joker, she ends up confined to a wheelchair and takes on the mantle of Oracle as Batman’s eyes and ears in the city (however, we probably shouldn’t expect to see that sort of dark material covered in this LEGO based spinoff).

Dawson is no stranger to the comic book movie realm as she starred in the Sin City franchise and Men in Black 2. She also voiced Wonder Woman in the Justice League: Throne of Atlantis direct to DVD animated feature. Regardless of those roles, she’s a great choice for this character in The LEGO Batman Movie, and it’ll be interesting to see who else they cast.

The talent behind the scenes is also solid. The LEGO Movie animation supervisor Chris McKay is directing The LEGO Batman Movie from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith (who is going to be directing The Flash). The LEGO Batman Movie will be released on May 26th, 2017.
