My apologies that this is a shameless plug for a fellow British film lover and in this case, film maker. Danny Lacy has been broadcasting a live show for the past 21 hours (at the time of writing) in a bid to raise £2000 to make his new film, Love Like Hers. He’s offered air time to people in return for funds to help him make his new movie.

He’s been awake for so long and is starting to flag so donate using the details below!

Here’s some more info:

On Thursday 20th May 2010 Leeds filmmaker and former radio presenter Danny Lacey will broadcast live and uninterrupted on the internet for a full 24 hours in a bid to secure £2,000 worth of funding towards his next short film project, LOVE LIKE HERS.

Danny has been planning his new short film for the last six months and charting his filmmaking adventure in intricate detail through his film blog, on twitter and in 1 hour live broadcasts online every fortnight. The budding writer/producer/director aims to rally support from viewers with his open and honest account of the filmmaking process and has set himself the ultimate goal of achieving Academy Award success in the short film category within the next three years.

In return for their donations viewers will be offered a series of incentives starting from £20 to be a ‘Film Buddy’ and exclusive updates on the film and special mention on the live show, £35 to have your face in the credits, £50 to be an Associate Producer, £65 for a 1 hour web-chat with Danny, £100 to get a full Producers Pack (script drafts, storyboard, call sheets etc), £350 to be a VIP guest at the premiere and £650 for product placement in the film (only 2 slots available).

Danny is currently broadcasting now so head over to the live stream here and if you’d like to donate, you can do so here.
