Daniel Radcliffe has taken some fine steps on from his time as the boy wizard, and is carving out an enviable name for himself post-Hogwarts.

Recently we had the chance to sit down with Radcliffe to talk about his latest film, the adaptation of Joe Hill’s Horns, and the subject of his visit to JJ Abrams’ set for Star Wars Episode VII came up.

Obviously there was much he couldn’t discuss but he did say that it was a very similar tone, in terms of being on set, to his work on the Harry Potter films.

It felt very similar, in terms of atmosphere they have on set. […]JJ Abrams, and the way he seems to set the tone […] it’s just a really happy set, which was lovely to walk on to such a big movie.

He also talked about his initial feelings and meeting a Star Wars legend whose feelings of excitement mirrored his own.

I think it’s going to be pretty spectacular, I was lucky enough to have a conversation with Harrison Ford [and] his excitement about these films spoke volumes to me.

If this guy, who has seen and heard it all about Star Wars, over the course of his life is so excited about these [films], then I feel it’s going to be very special.

Our full interviews with Radcliffe and Juno Temple will up on the site shortly, for now here’s the nicest man in show-business talking about the excitement of  visiting the iconic set.
