The first reviews for Skyfall are in, and they are overwhelmingly positive – you can read our own review here.
The film is expected to open big next weekend in the UK, followed shortly after next month in the US, and after catching the latest clip from the film yesterday, Apple have released a new clip featuring a showdown between Daniel Craig and the film’s main antagonist, Javier Bardem.
“In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”
Craig and Bardem top a fantastic cast that sees them starring alongside Bérénice Marlohe, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Whishaw, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory, Ola Rapace, and Dame Judi Dench.
Sam Mendes, the Oscar-winning director of American Beauty, is making his Bond debut behind the camera, with a script penned by Bond frequents Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and the ever-brilliant John Logan (Gladiator, Coriolanus).
Skyfall will be released in regular and IMAX theatres in the UK next Friday, 26th October, followed by an 8th November IMAX release in the US, before going wide in all US theatres a day later on 9th November.
