The success of buddy cop silliness The Other Guys has paved the way for Daddy’s Home, the latest film from We’re the Millers writer (and director of That’s My Boy – let’s temper this a little) Sean Anders.
The film has Ferrell’s hard-working stepdad coming up against his wife’s ex-husband, played by Wahlberg, who throws himself back into the domestic ring as it were. Hijinks and battles for approval for affection from the kids ensues. Both are strong comedy performers and a decent script should make this one one to watch over Christmas when it lands here, and in the US.
Mark Wahlberg also gives us an update on his lead role in the forthcoming movie from Peter Berg – The Six Billion Dollar Man.
