Back in 1998, my bestie Martin and I headed off to Sutton UCI (now Sutton Empire) to check out brand new horror movie Bridge of Chucky – evidently the audience theatrically for this one wasn’t going to be too huge as the only showing of the movie was at 23:30 but that didn’t stop us heading along to find out who Chucky had in his crosshairs this time.

Now, 19 years on (so depressing!) we have another movie in the offing in the form of Cult Of Chucky which sees the demonic doll back to haunt us once again showing that franchise (and Chucky) will not die.

Cult Of Chucky brings back Child’s Play cast member Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay along with Jennifer Tilly (Curse of ChuckyMonsters, Inc.) as Chucky’s bloodthirsty bride, Tiffany and Fiona Dourif (Messenger, True Blood) as Nica with Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings: The Two TowersHalloween) returning as the voice of Chucky, the homicidal plaything inhabited by the spirit of notorious serial killer Charles Lee Ray.

This is now the 6th movie in the Child’s Play franchise with the original movie first released back in 1988, Child’s Play 2 followed quickly in 1990 and 3 more sequels between then and now.

The most terrifying chapter yet of the Child’s Play saga reunites franchise creators Don Mancini and David Kirschner in what looks set to scare your pants off!
