It would appear Chris Pine and Ben Foster couldn’t get enough of each other after starring together in ‘Hell or High Water’. The acting duo are set to reunite on ‘Violence of Action’.
The story will follow James Reed (Pine), a Green Beret who was voluntary discharged, as he joins a paramilitary organization in order to support his family in the only way he knows how. Reed travels to Poland with his elite team on a black ops mission to investigate a mysterious threat. Barely into his first assignment, Reed finds himself alone and hunted in Eastern Europe, where he must fight to stay alive long enough to get home and uncover the true motives of those who betrayed him.
‘Community’ actress Gillian Jacobs has also joined the cast.
Tarik Saleh (The Nile Hilton Incident) is directing from a script by J.P. Davis. ‘John Wick’ outfit Thunder Road Films produces with finance from 30WEST.
Pine’s most recent projects include playing the role of Robert The Bruce in David McKenzie’s ‘Outlaw King’ and voicing one version of Peter Parker in Sony’s ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse’. He also recently reunited with Wonder Woman’s Patty Jenkins for the TV series ‘I Am The Night’ in which he plays a crime beat reporter. Pine will be returning in ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ reprising his role of Steve Trevor. He is also attached to star in thriller ‘All The Old Knives’ alongside Michelle Williams.
Foster was last seen in ‘Leave No Trace’. His upcoming projects include ‘Galveston’, ‘Medieval’ and ‘Harry Haft’.
Principal photography on the project as already begun.
