A female ‘John Wick’ spin-off, titled ‘Ballerina’, is currently in the works at Lionsgate with ‘Underworld’ filmmaker Lens Wiseman set to develop and direct the feature.

At the current time, no plot details have come to light – only that  the film will follow a female assassin. Shay Hatten, one of the scribes from ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum’, has written the script. Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski are producing, with Keanu Reeves executive producing. James Myers will oversee the movie for Lionsgate. Whether Reeves will appear in the film is anyone’s guess at this stage.

All you die-hard fans need not worry the 4th instalment of the franchise is still a top priority at the studio, so whatever happens, this will come first and is currently set for a May 2021 release.
