Cameron Diaz is in final negotiations to star in the Keanu Reeves-led comedy from Jonah Hill, ‘Outcome.’

The Apple Original Film is to be directed by Hill who also co-wrote the story alongside Ezra Woods. Hill is also expected to star.

The movie follows Reef (Reeves), a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip.

The film will be produced by Matt Dines, Ali Goodwin and Hill under their Strong Baby banner.

The move from Diaz to come out of retirement will be her first movie since 2014’s ‘Annie.’ The ‘Bad Teacher’ and ‘There’s Something About Mary’ star will return this year for Netflix action comedy ‘Back in Action’ with Jamie Foxx.
