The fall blockbuster Bioshock Infinite has been delayed from its original release date in October of this year to February 26th, 2013 according to a press release Take Two sent out this morning.

The games Creative Director Ken Levine had this to say about the game’s delay,

“When we announced the release date of BioShock Infinite in March, we felt pretty good about the timing. Since then, weve uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary. Therefore, to give our talented team the time they need to deliver the best Infinite possible, we’ve decided to move the games release to February.”

I think this is a good move on Irrational Games’ behalf because not only will it allow them to polish the game further, they will not be dealing with the utter onslaught that is the fall release schedule.  Until then be sure to check back with us for more Bioshock Infinite news as it breaks.
