To celebrate the release of Babylon, the epic new film from Oscar Winner Damien Chazelle, we had the pleasure of chatting with its cast and Chazelle himself to find out more.

From Damien Chazelle, BABYLON is an original epic set in 1920s Los Angeles led by Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Diego Calva, with an ensemble cast including Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li and Jean Smart. A tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.

First, we chat to Margot Robbie and Diego Calva about the film’s funniest scene, their relationship on-screen, working with Chazelle, and more, before chatting to Li Jun Li and Jovan Adepo about their first reactions to reading the script and all the madness that ensues, their musical input and characters, the elephant in the room and audience reactions so far.

Finally, we chat to Chazelle about his 10-year-long odyssey to make the film, how he was convinced to make this his next film, his love of cinema and why it inspired the story and how his early experiences on Whiplash and its run through the Sundance Film Festival helped shape him as a filmmaker.
