Disney has announced that Zach Galifianakis (Masterminds), Andre Holland (Moonlight), Levi Miller (Pan) and more have been added to the cast of their upcoming fantasy film A Wrinkle in Time which is directed by the acclaimed Ava DuVernay (Selma).

The film is a re-imagining of Madeleine L’Engle’s classic children’s book and has been adapted for the screen by Frozen writer/co-director Jennifer Lee. The book tells the story of Meg Murray who with the help of her brother Charles and their friend Calvin, travels to alternate dimensions to try to find and bring home their father.

Leading the cast is Oprah Winfrey (The Butler) as Mrs. Which, Reese Witherspoon (Sing) as Mrs. Whatsit, Mindy Kaling (Ocean’s Eight) as Mrs. Who, Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Beauty and the Beast) as Mrs. Murray and Chris Pine (Star Trek Beyond) as Mr. Murray. Holland will play Principal Jenkins in the film with Galifianakis portraying The Happy Medium.

Filming begins this week in California before moving to New Zealand with the film set for release in 2018.
