We delve back into the world of video game adaptations this Halloween with Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, the sequel to 2006’s Silent Hill, which adapts Konami’s PS2 survival horror game, Silent Hill 3.

The film took to Comic-Con over the weekend, and brought with it a red-band clip giving us a taste of the horrors we have to look forward to this October – if you’re reading this at work, be sure to come back later, because they drop a few S-bombs.

“Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by horrific nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her forever.”

Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) is behind the camera this time around, directing from his own script, with a host of new and old faces alike, headed up by Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Sean Bean, Carrie-Anne Moss, Radha Mitchell, and Malcolm McDowell – a pretty impressive horror cast.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D will hit theatres on 26th October in the US, followed in the UK on Halloween itself, 31st October. Here’s the great new clip from the film, which looks like it should be a lot of fun later this year. Enjoy.
