The cast of the untitled Arrow/The Flash spinoff already includes Brandon Routh (The Atom), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), and Caity Lotz (The Canary), but now two major casting additions have been made with Arthur Darvill and Ciara Renée.
Renée is a Broadway actress who’s only real major TV credit is an appearance in Law & Order: SVU. She’ll be taking on a major role here though as Kendra Saunders , a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker…Hawkgirl.
Broadchurch and Doctor Who star Arthur Darvill meanwhile will play Rip Hunter/The Traveller. The character has a storied history in the DC Universe since debuting in 1959 and is described as being a roguish time traveller who hides the strains of being responsible for history itself behind a façade of charm and wit.
Interestingly, Hunter has led a team and travelled through time with them; could it be that he assembles this unique group of characters for some sort of mission after the Reverse-Flash causes chaos in the past?
Who knows at this point, but the show is certainly shaping up to be an interesting addition to the Arrow/The Flash universe which has been created by The CW. Which characters would we like to see? Find out here!
