Francis Ford Coppola’s trippy Vietnam masterpiece has a welcome theatrical reissue this Friday (27th May) prior to the UK release of the 3 disc Blu-ray special edition on 13th June.
For those of you who have never seen it on a cinema screen, I urge you to make a trip this weekend if it’s playing in your city; this is the version sans credits that first opened in three North American cities in August 1979.
I’m currently writing a piece about the film which will head up river just prior to the Blu-ray release.
