Fast cars, check, car chases, check, really cool, insane looking car tricks, check – that’s all you need for an action thriller right? Well, that’s pretty much all you get with the brand new trailer for Baby Driver which doesn’t hit cinemas until August this year.

In the driving seat, delivering the high octane stunts is the Divergent series and The Fault in Our Stars actor, Ansel Elgort playing a hearing impaired bad boy. Elgort is the getaway driver for a bunch of criminals that include the likes of Kevin Spacey as his villainous boss. According to the trailer, he’s done with the criminal life and after meeting Lily James wants to run away together – we’re betting not to join the circus – However, after evening the score with Spacey it’s not going to be that easy to leave the life of crime firmly in his past.

The English director and man at the helm of Ant-Man and Simon Pegg films’ Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End, Edgar Wright, takes the driving seat behind the camera with a cast that includes Jon Bernthal, Eiza González , Jon Hamm and Jamie Foxx all buckling up for the high octane and comic thrilling ride alongside  Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey and Lily James.

Baby Driver speeds into cinemas on August 16.

Baby Driver Official Synopsis

A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. When he meets the girl of his dreams (Lily James), Baby sees a chance to ditch his criminal life and make a clean getaway. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
