At the Edinburgh International Book Festival, author Andrew O’Hagan announced that Angelina Jolie and George Clooney were set to star in a theatrical adaptation of his novel, titled The Life and Opinions of Maf The Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe.
Angelina Jolie will reportedly play the role of Marilyn Monroe, with George Clooney portraying Frank Sinatra. According to O’Hagan, the film “will shortly go into production”.
The project is currently without a director.

The Life and Opinions of Maf The Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe is now the third film about Marilyn Monroe in the works. The others, Blonde and My Week with Marilyn, will see Naomi Watts and Michelle Williams, respectively, portray the iconic actress.
