There is no doubting that Andy Serkis is a living legend from being the leading actor in motion capture performances with Gollum in ‘Lord of the Rings’ to everyone’s favourite Ape, Caeser, in the newest ‘Planet of the Apes’ franchise. Now, Serkis has stepped back behind the camera for his fifth stint as director in the sequel ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage.’
Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of MARVEL’s most complex characters and has to face off against Woody Harrelson’s Carnage aka Cletus Kasady. The film also stars Naomie Harris, Reid Scott and Stephen Graham.
We caught up with Serkis to chat about joining this world, the pressures of making a Marvel spin-off, working with Tom Hardy and returning for a possible third movie.
The film hits cinemas on October 15th.
