Here’s some news hot off the press! Hero Complex has just released the news that Amy Adams has been cast to play Lois Lane opposite British actor Henry Cavill in the new version of the Superman movie.
According to the online paper, Adams found out the news from director Zack Snyder (who is currently touring globe for his new movie, Sucker Punch) from Paris.
“There was a big, giant search for Lois,” Snyder said. “For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.
It goes back to what I’ve said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What’s important to us is making him relevant and real and making him empathetic to today’s audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him [in tone and substance].”

Zach Snyder has just ruined this movie for meby choosing Amy Adams. She is old enough to be Henry Cavill’s mother. She is 40, Henry is 24. Not only is she too old, but she does not have the look, and I’m not talking about the dark hair. Lois is supposed to be beautiful. Amy is attractive, but certainly not beautiful! I feel like history is repeating itself. Margot Kidder was a poor choice, as well.
Your numbers are off, she’s 36 and he’s 27. Nine years is not a big difference. Besides, she looks really good for her age.
