The new trailer for Robert Zemeckis’ Allied is here, and we’ve got our best look yet at the wartime romance starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard.

We were able to catch twenty minutes from the film’s opening act last night, and without giving away too much what we saw was very impressive. The set decoration and the costumes were lavish and the early connection between Pitt and Cotillard was engaging and promises much as the love song continues through the terrifying tragedies of war.

As two of the biggest stars on the planet director Robert Zemeckis has a potentially huge hit on his hands. A wartime drama set across Europe during The Blitz has all the makings of another English Patient, and it arrives in the UK on the 25th of November.

Lizzy Caplan, Matthew Goode, Raggey Cassidy, Charlotte Hope, and Jared Harris join the lead duo in support.

Here’s the trailer,

Allied tells the story of an intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.
