Alda (now a sprightly 74!) is showing no signs of retirement as The Hollywood Reporter brings news that he’s signed up for co-starring duties on both the Ben Stiller action film Heist (directed by Brett Ratner) and the Judd Apatow comedy Wanderlust. In the latter, he’ll play the head of a naturist village who the film’s two stars  Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd encounter when they move out of New York to escape the rat race.

His last noticeable big screen appearance was in Scorsese’s Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator back in 2004, but he recently cropped up on TV again in comedy 30 Rock and is scheduled to appear in the show again soon.

Who says you have to start taking things easy in old age!
