A24’s upcoming feature film from Chris Rock continues to take shape with a compelling ensemble cast now officially onboard. Adam Driver (Megalopolis), Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Messiah), and Anna Kendrick (Another Simple Favor) have joined the currently untitled project, which is both written and directed by Rock, who also stars.

British rising star Rosalind Eleazar (Slow Horses) leads the film in the central role of Misty Green, a gifted actress whose once-promising career has been derailed. When someone from her past reappears, Misty is presented with a tantalizing opportunity for a long-awaited comeback—though the cost of redemption may be steep.

Character details for Driver, Kaluuya, and Kendrick remain under wraps, but sources tease complex, emotionally charged roles that circle Misty’s turbulent journey back into the spotlight.

Production is currently underway in Los Angeles. Rock also produces alongside Peter Rice and David Worthen Brooks. Nelson George, Shaum Sengupta, and Miles Alva serve as executive producers.

This marks Rock’s latest directorial outing and his first collaboration with A24, with the film poised to blend sharp character work, darkly comic undertones, and industry introspection in a way only Rock can deliver.
