Bruce Willis will be hitting the big screen in just a few weeks’ time, bringing John McClane back for another slice of action in A Good Day to Die Hard, the fifth film in the immensely successful franchise.
We’ve already been treated to a great
And without saying it directly, their ‘Go Big or Go Home’ slogan here is a call to see this film in theatres, because (illegally) watching A Good Day to Die Hard online just isn’t going to do this action justice.
“Bruce Willis is back as iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, who for the first time finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack (Jai Courtney) — unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.”
Willis is joined by on-screen son Jai Courtney, playing Jack McClane. The leading duo star alongside Yuliya Snigir, Cole Hauser, and Sebastian Koch, with the ever-brilliant Mary Elizabeth Winstead reprising her role as Willis’ daughter, Lucy McClane, to complete the cast nicely.
John Moore (Max Payne) is behind the camera, directing from a script by Skip Woods (Hitman).
The last film in the franchise – Live Free or Die Hard (a.k.a. Die Hard 4.0) – took just shy of $400m. around the world back in 2007, showing there’s plenty of life left in both Willis and the franchise. And smart money says that it’s going to be another big winner for Fox when A Good Day to Die Hard lands next month.
A Good Day to Die Hard will be released on 14th February in the US and UK, making for the perfect action-fuelled alternative arriving over the Valentine’s Day weekend. You can’t help but love that line, ‘The 007 of Plainfield, New Jersey.’ Enjoy.
