Following on from yesterday’s ridiculous Sony ad masquerading as a teaser trailer for Resident Evil: Retribution we have the first look trailer for Capcom’s sixth installment of the main thread of Resident Evil games (and something like the sixteenth game in total from the series) and it follows on directly from the events of Resident Evil 4.

Nice to know that Capcom, like us, are trying to forget that Resident Evil 5 never happened.

The game isn’t out until November so there’s plenty of time to get all excited about the undead carnage coming your way and if you care about why there’s the need for so much killing and stuff  this is the game’s synopsis,

It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in Hong Kong, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.”

Here’s the trailer which sets things up nicely as well as giving us a look at the explosive zombie horrorshow on offer,
