The-Worlds-End-UK-Quad-PosterThe world’s ending in a number of films this summer, and thankfully one of those films is the long-awaited conclusion to the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy that began with Shaun of the Dead and continued with Hot Fuzz.

We’ve had a good few years for the anticipation to rise on this one, and naturally we’re incredibly excited to see what Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg have in store for us this time around.

The month kicked off with the brilliant first teaser trailer, along with a great new UK quad poster. And now Pegg has taken to Twitter to reveal two new posters for the final film, giving us the film’s US one-sheet and the UK quad variant.

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

Pegg and Nick Frost are of course front and centre for the finale, and they’re joined by a stellar cast, starring alongside Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan, and Rosamund Pike.

Wright is directing from a script he co-wrote with Pegg, and you can’t help but feel that they’ve saved the best for last.

The World’s End will be hitting UK cinemas on 19th July, and its US release date follows shortly after on August 23rd. For now, here are the great new posters to help you get in the mood.
