This year is bound to be meteoric for Felicity Jones; the Academy Award-nominated actress who seemingly remains to be severely underrated despite an illustrious career and filmography.

In 2016, the Brit has three major motion pictures on the horizon – all arriving in quick succession as the calendar draws to a close. Audiences will see her star alongside Tom Hanks’ Professor Robert Langdon in Ron Howard’s Inferno, going toe-to-toe with Liam Neeson’s ‘The Monster’ in J.A. Bayona’s A Monster Calls, and undoubtedly the most anticipated of them all: a leading role as Rebellion fighter Jyn Erso in Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

With such an explosion of awaited content yet to come this year, we believe that by 2017, Jones will finally be a household name for the many, so it seemed fitting to get everyone up to speed with her work and more whilst there is still time. From her earlier roles that you might have missed, to little personal facts that you may not know, here is our retrospective look.

10. Blink and You’ll Miss it – The Superhero Cameo

A common aspiration for our most favourite actors is a role in superhero cinema. They are the true box-office titans of our age, and are crammed with Hollywood’s elite consequently. However even in finite roles, casting directors are still keen to feature A-Listers wherever possible.

Jones featured in a tiny, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it performance in 2014’s over-stuffed The Amazing Spider-Man 2 where she played alongside Dane DeHaan’s Harry Osbourne / Green Goblin. Her character Felicia, aka The Black Cat, was a talking point amongs Marvel fans for some time as the notion of her own spin-off seemed possible. However such musings have since silenced.
