We’ve seen a lot of photos from the set of the Ghostbusters reboot this year, but now a new official image has been released featuring the new all-female team of heroes assembled.
Directed by Paul Feig, this new movie will focus on Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones), Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), and Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon).
That foursome can be seen in the brand new image below, and they make quite the team!
An unofficial plot synopsis for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters claims that Wiig and McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Wiig then reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
Ghostbusters is set to be released on July 22nd, 2016. The cast also includes Chris Hemsworth (as the team’s secretary), Andy Garcia, Michael K. Williams, Matt Walsh, and Neil Casey as the reboot’s lead villain. What do you think about this new look at the movie?
