The stars are certainly aligning for Taron Egerton. His breakout role as Eggsy in Kingsman followed on from a memorable part in James Kent’s Testament of Youth, and in his latest film the Welsh actor establishes himself as a fine leading man.
As well as the America-bound Kingsman sequel there’s another role Egerton is currently in the running for, and it’s a role most of Hollywood would kill for. Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s forthcoming Han Solo Star Wars story needs a suitably scruffy nerd-herder and Egerton is one of three actors being considered for the role.
On the red carpet for the UK Premiere of Eddie the Eagle (which is top darts by the way, check out our review here) we put the question to the young actor and this was his response.
