The X-Men portion of Fox’s Hall H panel at the San Diego Comic-Con was sadly light on big reveals (perhaps they’re waiting to see how Fantastic Four does at the box office before committing to a crossover between that and X-Men), but it did see Bryan Singer release the first official artwork of Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse!

As you can see, he looks a lot more comic book accurate than some of the other characters who have previously been brought to the big screen by the X-Men: Apocalypse helmer. A brief snippet of footage from the trailer which was shown at the event found its way online last night and confirmed he’ll be bright blue.

Don’t expect to see that released officially just yet though as it was made up of rough footage from the first five weeks of filming. The first teaser for X-Men: Apocalypse will likely be seen with Fantastic Four though.

In terms of other news from Fox’s panel, a final Fantastic Four trailer was shown which was apparently heavy on Doctor Doom and the team’s superpowers. A red-band preview for Deadpool premiered as well, and that was received so brilliantly that they showed it a second time when fans chanted “One More Time!”

As well as returning cast members James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Ian McKellen, X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. It’s a long list!

X-Men Apocalypse is set to be released on May 27th, 2016. Which mutants do we most want to see in Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past follow-up? Well, you can find that out by clicking right here.
