It was recently revealed that Bryan Singer had chosen Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, and Alexandra Shipp to play the young versions of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm in X-Men: Apocalypse.
X-Men: The Last Stand completely dropped the ball with both Cyclops and Jean, while Halle Berry’s Storm has always been a bit hit or miss. As exciting as it is to get a fresh take on these three, there are still plenty of other characters we’re hoping to see make some sort of appearance a year from now in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Some of these mutants have already appeared in the X-Men movies, while others could make their big screen debut in X-Men: Apocalypse should Bryan Singer choose. We already know that we’re getting a new Gambit in the form of Channing Tatum’s Gambit, but here are ten more fan-favourites who should join him.
10. Angel
Angel was played by Ben Foster in X-Men: The Last Stand, but the character was not not treated at all well in that movie. With a new timeline in place, perhaps Angel could be born a little earlier, something which would see him to star here alongside fellow original X-Men Cyclops and Jean Grey.
There’s another good reason why Warren Worthington III deserves a role in X-Men: Apocalypse, and that’s his relationship with the movie’s titular villain. In the comics, Angel loses his wings, but is saved by Apocalypse and granted a set of techno-organic ones. He’s then made one of Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen, and even after ending his relationship with the baddie, Warren spends years battling his Archangel persona.
This needs to happen…
