Marvel stuck to their guns when it came to not releasing the unfinished footage from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok which was shown at Comic-Con today, but they clearly couldn’t resist showing off their first Phase 3 movie, Doctor Strange. Below, you’ll find both the brand new trailer and a poster.

While we do get to see more of the villain, plot details are once again kept under wraps for the most part as we spend time with Stephen Strange as he embarks on the journey which will transform him into the Sorcerer Supreme. There’s lot of great humour on offer here, but without a doubt the highlight is the wonderfully trippy visuals which are used throughout.

Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.

Set for release on November 4th, later this year, the cast also includes Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. It’s an impressive group, and while Doctor Strange has been called yet another “risky” movie for Marvel, it’s quickly becoming apparent that it will instead be perhaps their most inventive and unique release to date.
