Last month we, and our fellow SXSW attendees, were given a sneak peek of the latest Alien film by the director himself. Here’s our take on the footage we saw. Suffice to say that it, like the first twenty minutes we saw of Prometheus before release, was gripping. Like that footage these new TV spots, divorced from the rest of the film, make it clear that Scott is pushing the fear factor with his new film.

These three new TV spots go over over ground in some way – plucking the best moments from the trailers already released. We do have some intriguing new footage peppered in below however, and some of the scenes point to further connections between this and its forebears.

The 19th of May is when Alien Covenant will be released in cinemas around the world, we’re very much looking forward to seeing what Ridders has in store for us this time around. He has already talked about more Alien films, with another sequel written and already plans for many more.

Synopsis
