Gamora

We promised you that this week would see the release of a new set of character posters for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, and following a poster (which you can see by clicking here) featuring Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Vin Diesel), we now have one with Zoe Saldana as Gamora!

The only members of the team left to get their own posters are now Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and Drax (Dave Bautista). With daily reveals promised by Marvel, whether or not we will indeed get to see a villain like Lee Pace’s Ronan the Destroyer or Karen Gilian’s Nebula in the spotlight remains to be seen.

Gamora is the daughter of Thanos, and that relationship will apparently be explored in great detail in this movie, as will her sisterly rivalry with the villainous Nebula!

So, how about a poster with Josh Brolin as Thanos then? Well, it’s a nice thought, but the ever secretive Marvel are more than likely saving that particular reveal for the movie itself.  We’ll be sure to bring you the rest of these posters throughout the week, so stay tuned to HeyUGuys for more on Guardians of the Galaxy!

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

Starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro, Guardians of the Galaxy is set to be released on August 1st in the US and July 31st in the UK.
