Amazon MGM has released a new trailer for ‘Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother,’ the upcoming drama from writer-director Bassam Tariq, starring Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali as a deeply religious hitman caught between his faith, his work and his responsibilities as a father.
Ali stars as Latif, a devoutly religious hitman whose carefully balanced life begins to collapse following the death of his wife. With his children now at risk, Latif embarks on a desperate journey across Houston to protect them, forcing him to confront the dangerous forces closing in around him while also questioning the beliefs that have guided his life.
The new trailer offers a tense glimpse at Latif’s struggle as his professional life collides with his role as a father. As the pressure mounts, his faith becomes both a source of strength and a profound internal conflict, setting the stage for an emotionally charged thriller about family, belief and survival.
Written and directed by Bassam Tariq, ‘Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother’ stars Mahershala Ali, John Cho, Abubakr Ali, Laith Nakli, Tramell Tillman, Tiffany Boone and Giancarlo Esposito, with Adia and Jaheel Kamara also starring.
The film will make its UK premiere as a gala screening at the BFI London Film Festival on 17 October, with the filmmakers in attendance. On the same day, Mahershala Ali will also discuss his career as part of a special Screen Talk event at the festival.
