We present our interviews from the red carpet of the European Premiere of xXx: Return of Xander Cage held at the O2 Cineworld in London this evening. The film stars Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen, Deepika Padukone, Ruby Rose, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev, Michael Bisping, Hermione Corfield and is directed by DJ Caruso.
This new movie in the explosive franchise sees Vin Diesel return as Xander Cage in the third of the xXx film, which arrives over a decade after the Diesel-free xXx: State of the Union. Ice Cube took over the reins of the series in that instalment but Paramount seemed determined to bring back Diesel to fuel this new outing.
So far we’ve seen some great character posters, and a fine trailer which goes all the way over the top. Featured herein is the film’s eclectic cast which includes Toni Collette, Game of Thrones’ Rory McCann and Neymar Jr…
The third film in the series may well propel the series in heights similar to that of the Fast & Furious series, which has gone all around the houses tonally before becoming a family saga bolstered by some fine vehicular set pieces and a modicum of soap opera dynamic. It’s a fine formula, and one we may well be revisiting if xXx 4 ever gets off the ground.

After coming out of self-imposed exile, daredevil operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) must race against time to recover a sinister weapon known as Pandora’s Box, a device that controls every military satellite in the world. Recruiting a new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself entangled in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of government.
xXx: Return of Xander Cage will be released in UK cinemas on the 19th of January and across the world on the 20th of January.
