Four-time Oscar-winning actor-writer-director Woody Allen latest film, To Rome With Love, is debuting in Italy later this month, with Allen coming off an Oscar win for his last film, Midnight In Paris, taking the Best Original Screenplay award earlier this year.

Deadline are now reporting that he’s already looking ahead beyond To Rome With Love for his next film, and has his eye on the lovely Cate Blanchett (The Lord of the Rings) for his leading lady, along with the excellent Bradley Cooper (Limitless, The Hangover) eyed for part of the ensemble.

As yet, there’s no word on what exactly we can expect from the film, from its title to its plot, but Allen being Allen, we can no doubt look forward to another wonderful romantic-comedy, and it looks like the cast is already shaping up nicely. Here’s to hoping that these first two names will soon become more concrete, and be followed by a nice long list for the rest of ensemble that we’re so used to from Allen.

His next film, To Rome With Love, stars Allen himself, along with Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penélope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig, and Ellen Page, and will debut in Italy on 20th April, before heading to the US on 22nd June for a limited release. A UK date hasn’t yet been announced, but here’s to hoping for a summer release on our shores too.
