It’s the film that will drag up the DC Cinematic Universe from the critical doldrums and should set the tone for the Justice League movie coming at the end of the year. Earlier this week we learned of director Patty Jenkins’ brief dalliance with the Thor sequel, and her reasons for waiting for Wonder Woman. With this new film she has taken the iconic comic book character and translated the very best elements to the big screen. It is a truly wonderful film, and one Warner Bros badly needed.

James Kleinmann sat down with Diana Prince herself Gal Gadot, Robin Wright (who plays General Antiope, Diana’s aunt), Patty Jenkins and producer Charles Roven to talk about the highly-anticipated film. You can see the interviews below, and read our review of the film right here.

Gadot in particular has talked on how important the role of Wonder Woman is to her, and to the fans. She also talks about her nervousness about taking over the lasso from Lynda Carter, saying ‘I was very nervous before she saw the movie and very relieved after she saw the movie’.

Charles Roven also talks about how this new film will fit into the ever-expanding DC Comics Cinematic Universe.

Wonder Woman is out right now in the UK, and tomorrow in the US, and you really should be getting making plans to see it.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Patty Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg, story by Zack Snyder & Allan Heinberg and Jason Fuchs, based on characters from DC. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston.
