X-Men: Apocalypse is shaping up to be one of 2016’s biggest movies, but Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past follow-up is about to get even bigger with cameos from some fan-favourite characters. It’s already been revealed that Sir Ian McKellen will return as Magneto, but who else will be joining him?

According to a new report, Hugh Jackman will be back as Wolverine (which was to be expected seeing as he’s yet to miss one of the X-Men movies since first appearing in 2000’s X-Men), but with him comes Halle Berry as Storm. Does that mean we’ll be revisiting the new timeline or could there be more time travel?

We’ll have to wait and see, but another major addition to the cast is Channing Tatum as Gambit. It makes sense for him to be introduced in X-Men: Apocalypse as the actor will star in a spinoff later in 2016.

In a year which will see the release of movies like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War, it’s no real surprise that X-Men: Apocalypse is upping it game with fan pleasing cameos, while other recent additions including fan-favourites like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, and Nightcrawler.

Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Kodi Smit-McPhee, X-Men: Apocalypse is set to be released on May 27th, 2016.
