This multi-stranded, dark crime drama from international superstar screenwriter and novelist Hans Rosenfeldt (The Bridge) is set in contemporary London and centres on the psychological struggles of a Metropolitan police officer at a crisis point in her life. In series one, while investigating the murder of her husband’s mistress, she is unnerved by what
she discovers deep within her. She harbours a dangerous suspicion that far from solving crimes, she might be right at their heart. Series two sees Marcella investigating the murder of a friend of her son and she is finding it harder and harder to keep her violent fugues under control.Broadchurch’s Eve Myles leads this gripping series as tenacious lawyer, wife and mother Faith Howells, whose life is turned upside down by the sudden disappearance of her husband. Determined to get to the bottom of this mystery while juggling childcare and her struggling law firm, Faith finds herself delving into the murky underbelly of the quiet Welsh town she lives in. A third series of this nail-biting Welsh noir is due in 2021.
