A young American woman, Sara (Natalie Dormer), comes to the Aokigahara Forest at the foot of Mt. Fuji in search of her twin sister.
In spite of everyone’s warnings not to stray from the path she enters the forest, only to be confronted by the tortured souls of the dead who prey on those they encounter.
But is the real horror the ghosts that lurk in the forest, or the ones buried deep inside her…?
