‘The Revenant’ and ‘Detroit’ actor, Will Poulter has landed himself the role of one of the MCU’s most powerful superheroes Adam Warlock in the third instalment of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’

Returning director, James Gunn, took to social media to welcome Poulter to the Guardians family.

As you would very well expect, plot details are being kept top secret from the world but production is due to commence in November.

The character of Adam Warlock had previously been teased by Gunn in one of the mid-credit teasers in 2017’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,’ after Elizabeth Debicki’s Ayesha, leader of the Sovereign people, creates a being she names “Adam,” with the purpose of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy.

One of Adam Warlock’s storyline’s in the comic books sees his transformation into the Magus, an insane and dangerously powerful creature — which brought the Guardians of the Galaxy into the orbit of Kang the Conqueror, which is played by Jonathan Majors. Could this be the avenue in which Gunn will be taking?

Poulter has a long list of TV and film credits under his belt from ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader’, to The ‘Maze Runner’ franchise. He recently starred in the Amazon miniseries ‘The Underground Railroad.’ Next up, he will be seen the series ‘Dopesick.’
